This is an exciting time for staffers at the Udvar-Hazy branch of Air and Space, which takes possession this week of the space shuttle Discovery. There's a lead article about Discovery in today's Washington Post.
April 17, 2012 update: See photo below, taken on the Mall this morning, of Discovery on the back of a 747 and escorted by a jet fighter, en route to Dulles and Udvar-Hazy.
